Our Review of Trojan Horse by Jim Corrigan

As an adult, it is a quick little mystery that would hardly take any time of yours and you will also enjoy the little military thriller. But then you realize that this is a book meant for children and it blows your mind. When you go look at the book through the eyes of a children’s book you realize how much the book actually gives such elaborative and extensive knowledge on military-grade weapons and using them. That was a bit hard for me to swallow.

Ironically as an adult, you would actually appreciate the little trivias on the weapons, their range and power. You actually have a good overview of being inside a military tactical room, discussing the operations structure and statistics. And the book also has some really amazing illustrations to support the storyline and it makes for a really immersive read.

The book is part of a series but fortunately, you don’t have to go through the entire series to understand the book because it is perfectly capable of being enjoyed as a standalone. Even more fun is the fact that the book comes with detailed character details so you know what each character’s expertise is and what they bring to the team. so it is easy to see the team in action and envision their dynamics which each other.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the only thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was the fact that I personally felt it was too extensive and detailed in weaponry for kids but the same thing is actually what works for adults because of the little nuggets you get in military operations but in easy fiction style.
