About the Book- Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow by Christina Henry
Everyone in Sleepy Hollow knows about the Horseman, but no one really believes in him. Not even Ben Van Brunt’s grandfather, Brom Bones, who was there when it was said the Horseman chased the upstart Crane out of town. Brom says that’s just legend, the village gossips talking.
Twenty years after those storied events, the village is a quiet place. Fourteen-year-old Ben loves to play Sleepy Hollow boys, reenacting the events Brom once lived through. But then Ben and a friend stumble across the headless body of a child in the woods near the village, and the sinister discovery makes Ben question everything the adults in Sleepy Hollow have ever said. Could the Horseman be real after all? Or does something even more sinister stalk the woods?
The book had a pretty good beginning but somewhere around the middle things started going too eccentric

Our Review of Horseman: A Tale of Sleepy Hollow by Christina Henry
There are two portions of this book. One, of our central character, living in Sleepy Hollow. Her perspective as a young kid growing up under the shadows of the tales of the infamous headless horseman. Having all the folklores and stories as a normal part of her growing up but at the same time stumbling onto something dark and mysterious. Then there is the second half that I don’t know how to explain because, with the flick of a page, things turns so much creepy and weird. Half of the things don’t make sense and which makes sense are too messed up.
The book Horseman acts like two different people. But somehow even with the split personalities, the book does keep the narration intact and smooth. Although two many creepy things are going that putting together everything in itself keeps the book exciting. I loved the first half of the book but somehow the second half of the book was too much for me to make any sense.
I felt the ending of the second half was too dramatised and fictionalised. Or should I say that it was wrapped up quickly? So somehow I wasn’t a fan of how the book worked in the end so because of which the book didn’t quite reach up to the level I was expecting from the way the book began.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would say that the book had a pretty good beginning but somewhere around the middle things started going too eccentric and twisted for me and because of which I am not a big fan but not completely dissatisfied too. Fans of sleepy hollow may find it interesting but prepared to hear and read everything opposite to what you know about Sleepy Hollow.
