About the Book- An Evil Mind

Our Review of An Evil Mind
Continuing the bing reading ( or rather binge hearing) of the Robert Hunter series, I can say that this book is a different one from the entire set or at least the previous books. While others were in a mad rush on how gory and gruesome the crimes can be, this book was more like a criminal profile study. Like a rendezvous with an evil mind. But ironically even with having the criminal in hand, the book is still a race against time.
As I said, the book is more of an intense conversation and profiling of a criminal mind that simply blows the mind. Needless to say that I missed Garcia and the captain in this book but you could see that the book was cut out for a different story and set in a different premise than the previous books. All thanks to storytel app, it just keeps playing the entire Robert Hunter series one after another and for reasons unknown to me, I simply can’t stop. It just pulls me very badly toward it.
The entire series is not for the weak mind, but if you have to pick one that is less bloody then maybe this can be the one. Although the criminal in question will give you all kinds of chills. The book has a good pace. The narrator(audiobook) is not the best and it can be very robotic in certain areas but despite that, I couldn’t stop which only proved to me that the content of the book has to be that good. It has that addictive factor to it.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this book or rather the entire series messes with your brain. It brings out the gore in its full blood colour but this book, the sixth in the series has halted a bit to give you a better chilling plot. You get to be in the room with the most interesting, creepy and devilish mind. One chapter after another, it bombards you with elements straight out of one’s nightmare. This is perhaps the only book where I could say that Hunter has been overshadowed by somebody even more genius. Evil genius. Worth the money.
