Trevor Noah is proving that he is a man of words be it with his comedy or writing. The comedic genius is back as an author proving his penchant for words once again. His new book, Into the Uncut Grass, is slightly different from his first book. According to People Magazine which released the cover of Trevor’s new book, Into the Uncut Grass is a “Modern Moving Fable”
Into the Uncut Grass is a “moving modern fable” about forgiveness, acceptance and solidarity for readers of all ages, its publisher is One World States. The book is evocative of fables and allegories such as Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince and The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.
Trevor says that growing up there were stories that played and shaped a lot of who is now and this book is an ode to that experience.
“Few memories in my life bring me more joy than the first few books I read as a child,” Noah said in a statement. “Either with my mom or reading alone, those simple stories shaped so much of how I saw the world. I hope this story can bring a little bit of that same joy to readers of all ages.”
He had donned the hat of show host for The Daily Show for seven years even amidst COVID Lockdowns, he had held the fort and had gained huge popularity. In December 2022, he had done his last taping with The Daily Show and went on to other ventures including a Netflix special and soon-to-be-launched Spotify series along with his tours.
Trevor’s first book, Born A Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood, which is a memoir that was published in 2016 was a massive hit. The book went on to become International Bestseller and also won awards like two NAACP Image Awards and the Thurber Prize for American Humor. It has sold more than 2 Million copies. What more is that the book is even getting its screen adaptation with Lupita Nyong’o stepping into the role of Noah’s mother and even producing the film
It may be a modern fable but according to its publishers, the book is a guide of wisdom for all age groups. The book will be available from October 31
