Drake- Rapper and now a poet?

You heard it right! The famous Rapper Aubrey Graham known more famously by his stage name Drake is venturing into Poetry. His book titled-“Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness by Aubrey Graham and Kenza Samir” which he has co-written with his girlfriend is now out.

The book is 168 pages long and supposedly filled with one-line musings and his take on music, woman, sex, drugs and everything and anything you would expect from Drake. The rapper also announced that he would be releasing an album to go along with this book.

Titles Ruin Everything, is what happens when someone is constantly told that they’re more clever than they are.

Now that the book is officially out a lot of people seem to have quite a few opinions on his poetry skills.

Pitchwork says “Like his lyrics, Drake’s poetry often feels like one long Instagram caption, the kind best wielded by spiteful losers of long-fought IDGAF wars.”

Drake even send a copy to DJ KHALEED for review who had posted his take live in an Instagram reel and was heard saying “The boy different,” he said. “The minute you think you figured out the boy, the man writes a book.” True! according to Vulture magazine. The magazine also quotes how the video seems to show Khaleed running out of words to completely express himself.

Highsnobiety says Drake’s new poetry book, Titles Ruin Everything, is what happens when someone is constantly told that they’re more clever than they are. Across 168 pages of single-line text, Drake quips about women, sex, women, money, fake friends, and women. Ever heard a Drake song before? You’ve read the book!

Highsnobiety even has a preview of the book and let us just say that even we fail to see the charm of a book that has one line per page and most of it on the verge of being offensive too.

The book is available through his site drakerelated.com and the publisher’s site Phaidon

So are you a Drake fan enough to buy the book or are you curious to see what the Rapper has in store for poet enthusiasts?
