Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

About the Book-Good Girl Bad Blood

Pip is not a detective anymore.

With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.

But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.

The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

Our Review of Good Girl Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

I am coming back to the series after ages so I was hoping to have blanks in my memory but I loved how the book opened with a seamless replay of the first book. Then it all came back and amazingly I was able to smooth into the narration. The first book didn’t do justice to our MC Ravi Singh. Come to this book and I am head over heels with the character. I don’t understand our FC, Pip because if you had a boyfriend like Ravi, forget about investigation and crime, one should book a world tour and chase the world with this guy. I could write poetry for the character because there isn’t one scene with Ravi Singh in it and you are not smiling or laughing. I mean it is so unreal as to how much the guy can be so supportive … (oh yeah !! That’s why it’s fiction..forgot about that for a second there… 😛 ) I was so much in love with our MC that I hated our FC.

Ok enough of hero worship. Let us talk about the book. Well, you know what! There isn’t much to say about the book except that it is all good. It is engaging and blah blah… but man Ravi Singh …

I think this is a book that you should try the audiobook. Whoever did the audiobook is genius. Considering that the book had a podcast the audiobook just enhanced that experience. You have to experience it to understand the creativity they put into the audiobook. It was so amazing and made the audiobook an EXPERIENCE.

Conclusion

Good Girl, Bad blood delivers well on all the goodness of its prequel. There is an exciting new mystery in town and the book delves very well and smoothly into the plot. The language and the pace of the book make it amazing and engaging. I think more than the book, the whole experience of the audiobook was what made it so good for me.
