About the Book Verity by Colleen Hoover

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.

A standalone romantic thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover.

This book, at least for me and my book lord is a bench mark that we doubt anybody could meet.

Our Review of Verity by Colleen Hoover

I have read so many of Colleen Hoover books that I believed I could clearly see and define the basic nature of her books. That was until this book. I didnt know whether its a good thing or bad thing that this book felt and read nothing like her previous books.. This book was a total mind fuck…wait! can I say that? 😮 Anyways what can I say except the fact that this book was completely unexpected and it totally blew my mind. I actually finished the book in one sitting. In fact me and my book lordwere reading it together and we both literally felt each other’s head exploding with the way book kept throwing things at us. This book set such a high bench mark for both of us that we hit a bad reading spree after finishing this book. Because none of the books could match up to verity

Well to begin with I felt that the book was a modern day take of Rebecca and a good one at that. It totally pulled in all the strings that could keep the adrenaline pumping. Clearly I am too overwhelmed to properly review this book because after a long time, there was a book that totally made me forget everything else and just wanted to continue reading it. You know what would be creepy and totally mind blasting? If this book was written by a ghost writer 😱 because the book itself is about a ghost writer and literal ghost. If not and this was Colleen, experimenting a new style, then you have totally nailed it.

There is no doubt that Colleen Hover specialises in narrating stories about broken souls. Her books are filled with characters that either make you feel their pain or make you really uncomfortable. Most of the time they are extremely broken and hard to deal with and somewhere that perhaps gives that extra spice to her books. This book took it to a completely another level. Forget about the romance, there are so many things that are happening that romance would be the last thing that you would be thinking about.

Conclusion

If you haven’t read this book then we truly need to check your choice of books. This book, at least for me and my book lord is a bench mark that we doubt anybody could meet. I don’t know what that says about our book taste but the fact is that you have to pick this book if you like a nice suspenseful and dark thriller. It will totally keep you awake at night and glued to the pages. I know this for a fact because I have the remnants of that glue still on my fingers and eye bags so big that it could touch the ground
