Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair

About the Book-Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair

Before Logan Barnes was hockey’s hottest bad boy, he was my brother’s best friend … and my first crush. Oh, yeah—and the guy who ghosted me and broke my teenage heart.

Now Logan is back in Harvest Hollow, but not willingly. Recovering from an injury (and some bad press), he’s stuck playing for our minor league team.

Which means I’ll be working with him almost daily.

As the hockey team’s social media manager, it’s my job to wrangle all the guys into filming TikTok trending videos. But Logan doesn’t want to be wrangled.

Turns out … neither does my heart.

Because my old crush never died.

And when Logan becomes my accidental fake boyfriend, those old feelings flare hot enough to melt the ice.

But this is all totally one-sided. Totally fake. Isn’t it?

No matter what signals he seems to be giving me or how real things start to feel, I know Logan’s not home for good.

I survived Logan leaving me once. But this time, I’m not so sure my heart will recover…

“Back in the day, she had the singular ability to make me smile, something I rarely had reason to do. She was always overflowing with energy and big ideas, like some kind of fiery woodland sprite fueled by straight espresso.”

Our Review of Just Don’t Fall by Emma St. Clair

If you are looking for a drama-free book that doesn’t over-complicate with relationship struggles then this is the perfect book. I am so impressed with this book for keeping it sweet, cute, light and most importantly such a straightforward story with no need for unwanted plot shackles that are sort of usually seen in romantic comedies. This book is like a Disney version of romance. Sweet, absolutely clean and with full-on sprinkles of confetti and charm of first love. I loved it for that because the book gave me the perfect relaxer read and helped me get back my reading mojo.

As I said, the beauty of the book is in its simplicity. It doesn’t require unwanted emotional turbulences or dramas just to keep it breathing. Instead, the book just explores two people put together in a situation and slowly falling for each other in true Disney fashion ( because unfortunately, IRL romances are Pandora’s box )

Just Don’t Fall is like a family-friendly version of sports/hockey romance and I thought it shows how a clean romance without grinding and bumping can equally be sweet. I loved the book for keeping it so clean and light and yet maintaining its charm and allure.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Just Don’t Fall is like a fluffy teddy bear- warm, cute and adorable. The book is a sweet, drama-free relaxer read that will instantly cheer up your mood. I loved it for being a clean and cute romance read.
