About the Book- Wait for You

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

Goodreads Page

Everything was okay. Maybe not perfect, but life wasn’t meant to be perfect. It was messy and sometimes it was a disaster, but there was beauty in the messiness and there could be peace in the disaster.

Our Review of Wait for You by Jennifer Armentrout

I have huge huge issues with the characters, their behaviours and the whole romance plot. BUT BUT BUT I also do realize that every book can’t have characters behaving and doing the thing my way. Can we? No. Because that would make it monotonous. It’s more the way certain stalkerish or forceful behaviour seemed to be normalised that I find odd. But I have to admit that in the context of how this otherwise questionable behaviour is portrayed in the book seems fluffy and acceptable while reading it with the pink glasses. In real life, though these very same things are what restraining orders are made of. OK, I am going to stop ruining the fun.

Let us be practical and come to the book. If you are a contemporary romance fan. Sure enough, this would be a good collection. Read this in two ways. In a positive way…YAY !! Another romance book but negatively, it’s the usual formula. As I said if you have had your share of romance novels, you can see very twists and turns miles away and you would also know how the characters are going to behave. So there that is the only trouble I had with the book. It’s fairly on the same line as its contemporaries but not at all bad just that it isn’t spectacularly different. Just another Contemporary romance featuring a popular “reformed” bad boy and a shy, timid girl with a terrible secret. What then? Of course, steamy romance, secrets revealed, relationship questioned, mourning period and then happily ever after until the sequel. 😛

Conclusion

In conclusion, I would say that if you choose to overlook my snarky bites at the book, it is a pretty decent romance novel but kind of with the usual formula that you might have read in other books. Although if you are a lover of this genre, you will love this book. Don’t mind me it is a good romance read with turmoils and intense drama.
