Read Time:3 Minute, 12 Second

Is there an Amos Decker Fan club? if yes then I would like to apply for its membership. I am getting obsessed with this series. The Fix is just another golden collection. Is it weird that I am more into the book for the sheer chemistry of Melvin and Amos? I don’t know what it is but there is something about these two burly men that simply set everything on fire. Somebody reading this would imagine that Amos and Melvin are a couple. No No, they are more like bros for life but just an incredible force together. The book just takes me back to the good old days when I was getting obsessed with Jack Reacher. The original Reacher who talked less and punched more. So till the series is keeping the flames alive I am so going to be on its tail.

The Fix Official Synopsis

Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself.

Even with Decker’s extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter – a family man with a successful consulting business – and his victim, a schoolteacher. Nor is there a hint of any possible motive for the attack.

Enter Harper Brown. An agent of the Defense Intelligence Agency, she orders Decker to back off the case. The murder is part of an open DIA investigation, one so classified that Decker and his team aren’t cleared for it.

But they learn that the DIA believes solving the murder is now a matter of urgent national security. Critical information may have been leaked to a hostile government – or, worse, an international terrorist group – and an attack may be imminent.

Decker’s never been one to follow the rules, especially with the stakes so high. Forced into an uneasy alliance with Agent Brown, Decker remains laser focused on only one goal: solving the case before it’s too late.

The Fix RWAT Take

If you haven’t got the message clear enough, let me say that the series is a perfect pick for anybody who is a Reacher fan. But then again on second thought, Pick this book for what it is and not doing a comparison. I think that will double your chances of falling for this series. I went in expecting nothing and came back being an addict.

Of course, the series goes through a lot of footwork and logics and strategies before the mysteries and puzzles start falling into places but its the pure strength of characters and their dynamics with each other that makes this book so smooth and fun read. The plot in the series so far has been pure brilliance and it is pretty twisted and without complicating with so much inner web of events. That is why I love this thriller. It is pure adrenaline, fun, and sentimental too but not too much that you need your tissue boxes

Conclusion

In conclusion, this series is my new obsession. Hugely because of Amos in partnership with Melvin. I think I fell in love with the series when Amos and Melvin came in together. Ironically Melvin is a character that comes and goes in the book, but there is something about the way, he appears that feels like I am watching some major star making a guest appearance in our favourite shows. Remember when Brad Pitt made a guest appearance in Friends and we all died and went to heaven and came back for a while there? yeah so picture something like that and you will feel what I am saying

PICK UP THIS SERIES… The Fix is perfect
Note to myself: Quit the series if Melvin is not going to stick around much 😛
