Swear on This Life definitely goes through a lot of ups and downs and the intensity is pretty high too. I guess in a way the book was able to paint a very natural or captivating story of two people coming together and being in a relationship
As I finished Dont Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the first thing that came to my mind was that it was definitely a true thriller. The book kept pushing itself into more and more suspense that after a point it was impossible to put down the book.
Only one word comes to my mind when talking about this book. Childish. It was a bit weird as to how the book right away jumped to the action. No easing or introducing to the paranormal factor or the general scenarios of the plot. Simply getting over with the story as quickly as possible
The plot is definitely cliche but somehow the ending make it worth it because the core mystery was kept so intact and secretively that it alone makes up for whatever negative you may feel about the book. All i say is that it is a quick read.
The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin definitely takes a sharp turn from where the first book ends and in a way i say it perhaps did it for the best because now the series has gone on to become more interesting and exciting.
Remember how i told that i was completely in love with the first book, Guess what. I hate the second book. The second book nearly took me to a delirious stage because i was that angry and red in face. There is no doubt that this series is yet another ambitious twilight project except that instead of vampires this one has werewolves. But let us be honest. Damsel in Distress and Alpha male is passé and not cute anymore
The Lovely Reckless by Kami Garcia is plain old Young Adult Romance formula served in a different plate. The book follows everything that is typical to Young Adult Romances. It is not to say that there is anything bad about the book. Its just that the book can be repetitive if you are an ardent YA romance fan.
Bitten could very well be the twilight for werewolves. The book is about how a girl gets bitten by werewolf and how that drastically changes her life . Of course there is a hottie in middle of that.
I initially wanted to tag it as another cotton candy romance, all fluffy, pink and sweet. To my surprise inspite of being all that the book actually had a deeper story to it which totally changed the game for me. Confess by Colleen Hoover has a good flow and a smooth storytelling technique that makes the reading of this book quite enjoyable.
The book is a good breather book. Which is my definition of light and easy reads that don’t need you to think hard, analyze or de-analyze the plots. It is a harmless, cute romance best for a brunch read or if you adore romance at its most innocent form
