Book Review : Paradigm by Abhijit Haldar (A poetic compilation)

First of all a huge thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of Paradigm. It’s not everyday that I get to see and enjoy poetry and thanks to the author for sharing the beauty and also showing such a colossal amount of Patience for me to share my feedback. Though I had read his work before this is the first time that I am reading a poetry from his workhouse

Paradigm by Abhijit Haldar – Official Synopsis

A paradigm is a standard, perspective, or set of ideas. A paradigm is a way of looking at something.

This is what the dictionary say.

Paradigm is a collection of poems; some dark, some on the lighter side. These are some of the pieces the poet wrote in the years, some tucked away in pages, some in the folders of his PC, some on the web. These poems carry some of the perspectives of life, that he witnesses around him and some from deepest recesses of his neurons. You will find most of the poems to be related with vagabondism, life, love, motivation et cetera which he personally likes to write more often.

Poetry is words given soul and music.

“I’m a lone wolf, I have the world to walk alone, pardon me, I didn’t see you behind me.” Find more lines of this sort in this collection that is sure to give you the chills.

Paradigm by Abhijit Haldar – RWAT Take

Poetry demands a lot from its creator. The poet has to master the art of being able to say a world of things in just a few words. I personally feel that the greatest challenge is to fill in all of your hearts yearning and pain in limited frame of words and to be able to make them echo the same emotions in one flow

The author may want to kill me after reading this review but his poems definitely require you to actually sit and take a double take to be able to fully imbibe all that he is trying to say.

This works in two layers because somewhere I loved the fact that the lines carried way too much layers and meaning. You can’t simply expect to sit down and read the line and expect to absorb the raw emotions that is being narrated. You really need to read it with concentration to tap on the deeper meanings of these words

While I loved it, the same thing can be a bit hard for someone relatively new to poetry but then this is quite relative as those who appreciate poetry would definitely see the spark in the words by the poet

So let me put it in blunt and say I loved the deep layers that was buried in those words. Yes admittedly when I first went through the poems I did miss on the meanings . It was when I actually picked out each layers and started reading into the words that I realised how much depth these words carried. That too me is simply brilliant and really the bravest thing by the poet. All I wish was the author could break his thoughts into a bit more simpler blocks with a pinch of fluidity. This in turn could absorb the readers from the get go.

But as I said it’s not everyday that you get brushed with the beauty of poetry and if his words could churn out such emotions at his current attempt then I can’t wait to see what he can do next with the creative fire he has in him
