Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab – Official Synopsis

KATE HARKER isn’t afraid of monsters. She hunts them. And she’s good at it.

AUGUST FLYNN once yearned to be human. He has a part to play. And he will play it, no matter the cost.

Kate will have to return to Verity. August will have to let her back in. And a new monster is waiting—one that feeds on chaos and brings out its victims’ inner demons.

Which will be harder to conquer: the monsters they face, or the monsters within?

Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab – RWAT Take

Just as i had complained with the previous book, this book too doesn’t make it easier in the beginning. The first few chapter leaves you kind of in air having to join and bring together all the floating puzzles of the story.

The transition from the ending of the first book to the beginning of the second book is not the smoothest. In fact you will feel a bit of gap as you start reading which only fills up gradually. Now that i have cribbed enough, let me tell you that after the initial haziness , things quickly settles down and then you can’t let go of the book.

Our Dark Duet by Victoria SchwabThe book just goes on to become more and more thrilling and exhilarating and you simply can’t get away. I loved how the book didn’t corrupt itself with cheesy romance. The author knew that her book was not all about the romance and it isn’t. I loved that about the book. Romance is there but very subtly and according to me in perfect portion

I don’t think the ending would be of everybody’s liking but i think it was really brave of the author to pick such an ending to the book. In a way i felt it was the kind of completion that the book could get best.

The book doesn’t open smoothly and takes a while for everything to settle and things to get clear. Luckily you don’t have to wait much. Once the book grabs you, it just keeps the grip on you tighter and tighter. I personally feel that this is one of the best series that you can have in your collection
