Book Review: Confess by Colleen Hoover

Reading Time: 3 minutes

I initially wanted to tag it as another cotton candy romance, all fluffy, pink and sweet. To my surprise inspite of being all that the book actually had a deeper story to it which totally changed the game for me.

Confess by Colleen Hoover – RWAT Take

The concept of Confessions playing the central theme of the book to me was simply amazing. Weirdly enough ever since i read the book, i had this massive urge to do paintings too. Also this being my second audiobook, i am actually starting to see the potential of Audiobook and even have started to enjoy it as well

There was certainly a lot of eye rolling moments in the book but to my shock it was pretty less in number than what  i had expected. Yes its a romance novel with all the cheesiness to it but somehow i also felt the book also possessed a strong story to tell. I am pretty sure the logics of the story would completely make you mad and would set fire to a debate that would never see an end. So just like i usually advise for these kind of books, refrain from bringing you logical and analytical brain to the picture. Keep that outside and purely dive into the book for its romance. The book also have its harsh realities so its not all unicorns and pony. Its a bitter sweet story but one that is definitely interesting

I also learned that the book has been already converted to a 7 episode television series by go90 and was released on 4th April 2017. It stars Katie Leclerc as Auburn Reed and Ryan Cooper as Owen Gentry. The series also sees Colleen Hoover doing a brief appearance

Conclusion

Colleen Hoover has mastered the art of narration and i could see that in the book. There is a good flow and a smooth storytelling technique that makes the reading of this book quite enjoyable.
