For a title that exhibits a bit of risk, i wished the book could had a bit more risk factor to it. But apart from my instinct to nag at a book first, i dont think there is anything wrong with the book. Well expect being a bit vanilla
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry- Official Synopsis
Smart. Responsible. That’s seventeen-year-old Breanna’s role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyber-bully’s line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas “Razor” Turner into her life.
Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don’t belong. But when he learns she’s being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it’s time to step outside the rules.
And so they make a pact: he’ll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she’ll help him seek answers to the mystery that’s haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss.
But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they’re both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they’re going from here.
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry- RWAT Take
Walk over the edge is your typical YA romance. Following everything that i had mentioned in my article about the cliche YA plots. You could pick page by page and see how the how the book follows the template blindly.
Having read a lot of YA romance, the plot and everything else was fairly predictable. Everything that i had seen and read before. But to be fair i can’t blame my over exhausting the genre on a book. Can i ? Anyways the book is definitely a good read and in spite being cliche stuff i will admit i did like and enjoy the book. Though i did fail to see the hype that was created over the book
The book is a motorcycle dream. The book starts with everything bikes and gangs and even the language is all motorbike lingo. It is a good thing that once the book came into its nature. It took on the language of the masses and contained itself to provide a lucid and nice narration.
The book to me didnt had much highs and lows but at the sometime somehow the author sprinkled her magic to salvage it from being a boring read. Thanks to the pace, the book sails and runs through the story without hovering over unnecessary stuff
Walk the Edge by Katie McGarry- Conclusion
Its a cliche YA romance. Everything you have read and seen before but still the book has somehow turned into a good read
